Am I Eligible for NBMS Support?

Eligibility for Support

Financial assistance is available to medical students studying for medical degrees at UEA, who are experiencing hardship due to unforeseen circumstances such as serious illness, injury, bereavement, or unexpected changes in personal or family circumstances. Applicants must be in receipt of an award from the UEA Hardship Fund. All applications are assessed on an individual basis and treated with strict confidentiality.

What support is available?

What We Provide

We offer financial grants to help cover essential living costs, including accommodation, utility bills, and food. Support is also available for urgent travel, short-term care needs, or access to critical academic resources. In addition, we provide practical and emotional support during periods of financial difficulty, along with guidance on budgeting, debt management, and advice on accessing further sources of financial assistance.

NBMS is proud of having provided financial support for Doctors, their dependants and Medical Students since 1786

NBMS Limitations

What We Don't Provide
